May to June, 1 1/2in (4cm) deep, in required harvest position in well manured soil in the sunniest part of the garden.
May to June. Harden off young plants before planting out 36in (90cm) apart.
Water regularly, once fruits start to swell feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
